If you have a classic (older) Sheaffer ball-point pen, and want to use a Fisher Space Pen ink refill inside of it, this adapter will allow it to work properly. The adapter is a cylinder 5mm diameter, 7mm long, which will allow the clicking mechanism on the end of the pen to reach the ink cartridge, and engage the tip of the pen so that it extrudes and retracts in and out of the pen body as it should.
