Willie Mae is based on a real person from our family. Willie Mae was a famous psychic, tarot reader, and beloved local figure. She lived by the rule; No magic for her own good. Until she got rich using her talent. She famously fortold her own death, seeing dreams of herself being poured out of the faucet. Others in her family saw these dreams too after she went missing. The discovery of her murdered body, stuffed deep in the well, served as the basis of horror stories for years after.
