Atomic Starburst Wall Ornament, Mid Century Decor

A light, open starburst for the wall. A small domed hub sits at the centre, and from it radiate sixteen slender rods: twelve of different lengths ending in round balls, and four long rays ending in small four-pointed sparkle stars. Starbursts, atoms, boomerangs and kidney shapes were the signature motifs of Atomic Age design from the late 1940s into the early 1960s, when optimism about science and space travel shaped everything from clocks to tabletops.
