An axolotl grinning out of a pumpkin, pink frilled gills sweeping back over the ribs on both sides. It has the wide flat smile and the two black dot eyes that make axolotls look permanently delighted about everything. The gills are the reason to print this one. They stand off the body as separate frilled branches rather than being carved into it, which gives the whole thing depth from any angle. I print mine around 100 mm wide, which keeps the frills thick enough to be robust. The mesh is solid…
