Barley Twist Cake Stand – a one-piece cake stand with a twisted rope stem that fans out into wide flutes on the foot. This is the vintage one in my cake stand family. Eight rope strands turn about 165° around the stem and run out into broad, soft flutes on the bell foot – the old barley twist from candlesticks and table legs, done as a single print.
