Head hanging low, a bison bull walks to the right on a flat slab of rock, its short tail flicked out behind. The shaggy cape of fur over the shoulders and front legs is textured in tight curls, while the rear body stays smooth. No background panel surrounds it, so the animal and its rock base form a clean freestanding outline.
