An open wooden-style bottle crate with slatted sides, divided into fifteen compartments in three rows of five, each holding an upright bottle with a rounded body, long neck and lipped mouth. The crate and bottles are modelled together as one piece. Wooden bottle crates were used for decades to deliver milk, beer, soft drinks and mineral water to shops, pubs and doorsteps, before plastic crates took over.
