Ten broad, rounded petals form the outer ring of this dahlia, their tips pushing the outline into a soft star shape. Inside, a ring of small scalloped petals surrounds a raised boss with a stepped collar, giving the center real height. Without a rim, it works well as a standalone applique on doors, headboards and picture frames, or repeated as a border motif.
