A sturdy bison standing on a flat rectangular base with its head lowered. It has short upward horns, an eye hole, a big rounded hump over the shoulders and slimmer hindquarters with a hanging tail. Rows of short incised marks run across the hump and the front of the body. About 6.6 cm long and 3.9 cm tall at 100%. Bison were one of the most important animals in Ice Age art. They appear on cave walls in France and Spain and as small portable carvings in ivory, antler and bone made over thousands…
