The frame is the part people get wrong. Scale the tree to fill the disc and the outline runs off the edge: the frame vanishes, the bottom of the trunk is left open, and the stencil stops holding itself flat. This one is sized on HEIGHT rather than width - the motif is 104 mm tall inside a 130 mm disc - which leaves 13 mm of solid frame all round. That frame is what presses the stencil against the glass. The tree has three tiers, a trunk and a star on top, cut clean through and held to the frame…
