Unlike a strict acanthus design, this tall engaged capital is wrapped in naturalistic maple-style leaf clusters and berry bunches cascading down a fluted shaft toward a molded base. The organic, asymmetric foliage gives it a woodland or rustic character suited to lodge furniture, staircase newels, or decorative columns.
