Tracing an armhole freehand is how a good piece of fabric becomes a bad sleeve. This one-piece curve gives you three edges instead: a long, slow curve for side seams and hip lines, a tight curve at the nose for armholes and necklines, and a straight edge graduated 0 to 200 mm along the bottom. Three small holes sit 6, 10 and 14 mm in from that straight edge -- put a pencil tip through one, run the ruler along the cut line, and the seam allowance comes out even without measuring twice.
