A giant megalodon tooth from the front of the upper jaw. The preview shows a broad, almost symmetrical triangular crown with fine serrations along both edges, a smooth band (the bourlette) where crown meets root, and a thick, rough-textured root with two lobes and a central notch. It is modelled lying flat and measures about 17 cm long at 100%, at the very top of the size range for real megalodon teeth. Otodus megalodon was the largest known shark, living from about 23 to 3.6 million years ago.…
