A pear-shaped jug on a ring foot with a narrowing neck, a round flared mouth and a single strap-like handle rising from the shoulder to the rim. Hollow, open mouth. The oinochoe was the wine jug used to ladle mixed wine from the krater into drinking cups. Many examples have a pinched, trefoil mouth for pouring; this model uses a simpler round mouth, a form also found in ancient jugs. Use it as a shelf ornament or bud vase, paint it with a Greek pattern, or add it to a banquet or market diorama.…
