A spoked handwheel. Uses about a third less material than a solid knob of the same diameter and gives the feel of a valve wheel. For the fine split shaft with 24 teeth. The number that trips people up: this shaft measures 5.97 mm over the knurl, not 6.35 - the 1/4 inch is the plain body, the splines are turned down.
