**Antibodies** are the proteins the immune system uses to recognize viruses, bacteria and other invaders. This model shows a complete IgG antibody, the most common type in blood, with its classic Y shape: two arms (Fab) that grab the target and a stem (Fc) that calls in the rest of the immune system.
