A hard clamshell case for the Insta360 X5, designed from scratch for FDM printing. Printed and fitted to a real X5 — the photos are the actual print. WHY THIS ONE Moulded cases have a domed lens bulge that FDM cannot print without supports either inside the case or across the visible outer surface. Here the shells are flat outside — perfect bed adhesion, zero supports — and the two lens domes print separately, dome-up, then glue in flush. Print them in a contrasting colour.
