A scoop for exactly 2.25 g of table salt. This is the precise amount needed for 250 mL (1/4 L) of water to be turned into an isotonic/isosmotic solution (0.9 % NaCl). The grain size is important (!) - a different powder size changes the mass that fits into the spoon, this design is viable for the typical grain size of salt. If you are not sure prefer finer salt instead of coarser salt. Take your salt, level it in the spoon and enjoy!
