Locomotive jacks were commonly found in many workshops and blacksmith shops in the late 1800's and throughout the 1900's. These screw jacks were one of the standard lifting technologies prior to the introduction of hydraulic bottle jacks. This detail set includes 40 jacks in 19 sizes, attached to an organizational sprue for easier handling. Fine wire should be used to create the handles used to rotate the jacks. Provided at 1:1 scale, as well as pre-scaled versions in 1:24 and 1:32.
