Lots of flat surfaces are deliberate -- they are here to encourage you to use either decals or freehands 4 legs and 4 upper bodies. And a base! You can make your Marshal with flamer canonically placed in front of its pelvis or you can trade a bit of canonicity for additional bit of MWO-style mechs. Also, you can make it in idle position or in an a bit dynamic one -- or even mix-n-match those parts for additional bit of customization.
