Napoleon Hat Mantel Clock, Vintage Tambour Clock

A classic 'Napoleon hat' or tambour mantel clock, the camel-back shape that became a favourite on mantelpieces in the early to mid 20th century. The case rises in a smooth central hump and sweeps down into scrolled shoulders, each edged with a raised curved moulding. A round dial with a stepped bezel carries raised Roman numerals (with the traditional IIII at four) and spade-style hands.
