Oliver Marchant - London 1888

A young newspaper boy of eleven years, Oliver hawks the evening editions along Cheapside and Fleet Street. His keen eyes miss nothing of the city's happenings—hansom cabs, gaslit corners, and the endless parade of commerce. Despite threadbare patches, he maintains his cap with pride and carries his satchel with purpose. His modest wages support his widowed mother in Whitechapel, and he dreams of one day becoming a proper journalist.
