Pace beads (or ranger beads) are a useful tool for tracking distance traveled while you're hiking or orienteering. Print 13 of 'em & thread 'em onto a doubled length of paracord, using a bit of dental floss to pull the cord thru. HOW TO USE: Every ten paces, slide one of the bottom "tens" beads away from the knot.
