Parashu Ganapati: Astride the War-Rat

This comic-inspired rendition reimagines Ganesh in battle astride a giant armored rat (Mushika). He leans into the charge with a raised axe (parashu) and a chain noose (pasha)/rein in the other hand. The axe signifies the cutting away of obstacles, fear, and clinging attachments; the noose draws devotees toward the right path and reins in wayward impulses—power and guidance held together.
