This is a simple repair for split or broken plastic mounting posts where a screw normally threads into the original plastic boss. It is created specifically for a Ø4mm diameter, self tapping screw. The damaged post is trimmed off, leaving the existing supporting webs in place. The new, larger-diameter boss is then slid over the webs and secured permanently with a small amount of clear epoxy glue.
