I was in search of an easy system to move my points without reaching onto the layout scenery (previous bad experience). I saw the piano wire method, but didn't want to buy anything. I had some 1.5mm Stainless steel wire laying around (fits perfectly into the hornby point i got), it's a bit flexible(more than i want to) but so far it's working nicely.
