Layers of deeply lobed acanthus leaves burst outward from a plain round boss, with small curling scrolls tucked between the outer tips. The rimless disc is filled edge to edge, giving it the weight and depth of a carved baroque rosette. It is a classic choice for ceiling rosettes, furniture appliques and moulding work in period rooms.
