Rheinmetall 88mm Flak41 on panther chassis was the first German attempt on making a mobile platform anti-aircraft using panther chassis. Using the experience from VFW panzer IV, Rheinmetall tried to mount the 88mm Flak 41 on panther chassis but with the German high command changed the priority from heavy AA guns to light and medium AA guns as mobile platform, the project was scrapped.
