A branching stand with four light cups: a central cup on top of the shaft and three angled arms, each ending in a round cup with a socket. The shaft has a baluster knop and stands on three splayed legs with ball feet around a central foot. One piece. Roman houses and public buildings used tall bronze stands to hold lamps, and some had several branches or hooks so that multiple lamps could burn at once.
