The Royal Game of Ur is one of the oldest board games we know. It was played in Mesopotamia about 4,500 years ago. It's a race game for two: throw four tetrahedral dice, move your seven pieces along a 20-square track, land on your opponent to send them back, and use the rosette squares to throw again and stay safe.
