Santa Carrying a Christmas Tree — Standing Figure

Santa on the walk home, a fir tree hoisted over one shoulder and a look of quiet satisfaction on his face. The hat flops back with the pom trailing behind him, the beard and moustache are sculpted in soft curling locks, and the coat falls in heavy folds over a belt and boots. The tree is stylised into spiral tiers with a couple of baubles, so it stays crisp even at small scale. It splits cleanly into two colours at the coat hem — the photographed copy is red over wood-fill.
