Stormhide hunts the highlands whenever thunder gathers over the peaks. He follows the smell of hot iron from smithies and the smoke of campfires through rain that blinds ordinary scouts. Bronze joints flash with each lightning strike, while his armored tail sweeps stones clean behind him. He devours the banners of defeated armies and leaves the metal standards planted in the earth. When the sky is clear, he shakes a chain of bells until the clouds answer.
