T-34E(STZ) Soviet Tank

The T-34E (STZ) was an up-armored variant of the Soviet T-34 developed at the Stalingrad Tractor Factory (STZ) in 1941. It featured additional armor plates welded onto the hull and turret to improve protection against German anti-tank weapons. Despite its increased armor, the added weight placed extra strain on the suspension and affected mobility. The variant reflected Soviet efforts to improve the T-34’s survivability during the early stages of the German invasion.
