The Frog Prince is a very old fairy tale, although the most famous retelling is from the Brothers Grimm's collection published in the 19th century. A rather spoiled princess strikes a bargain with a talking frog, who she meets after losing her golden ball in a pond. She promises to take the frog as her companion if he will return it to her.
