thief

The dragon hatched from its egg when the Old King was still young. It lived in the back of Dragon Mountain and used to hunt in the area from Driftmark to the River Watercakes. It rarely attacked shepherds, though it did devour the occasional sheepdog. The dragon was not claimed by any rider in its youth, which made it increasingly unaccustomed to human presence and more difficult to tame as the years passed.
