The action takes place in 1994 in New York and Peru. The Maximals’ home planet is attacked by the dark planet‑devouring god Unicron. His henchmen — the Terrorcons and the army of scorpion‑Predacons led by Scourge — hunt for the Transwarp Key, which can open portals through space and time.
