UMBRIAN POLYGONAL WALL

The opus polygonale — massive irregular stone blocks fitted without mortar, each shaped to interlock with its neighbours — is the architectural signature of the Italic peoples of central Italy. The walls of Amelia (Ameria), in Umbria itself, still stand today. Built in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. Still standing. Designed for 15mm. Rescales to 28mm at 185%.
