Day 2 of my 365-day challenge: one new printable design every day, made with AI. Gear Galaxy. A print-in-place planetary gear fidget: a 12-tooth sun, five 8-tooth planets and a 28-tooth ring, all printed together in one go. Spin the sun or the ring and every gear turns. A V-shaped ridge round the middle of each planet rolls in grooves in the sun and ring, so the gears stay put and don't fall out. Size: 78 x 78 x 12 mm. About 40 cm3 of plastic.
