Vintage Oval Gallery Vanity Tray with Handles

A vintage-style oval gallery tray, about 208 mm long. A flat recessed base is surrounded by a pierced gallery wall made of a row of small posts and openings with little drop beads, finished with a smooth top rim and a curved carrying handle at each end. Gallery trays with pierced rims sat on dressing tables from the Edwardian era through the mid-twentieth century, holding perfume bottles, powder jars and jewellery.
