XOAY 3 – Herringbone Planetary Gear Fidget – Print in Place

Hold the outer ring and gently turn the centre to move the three planet gears. XOAY 3 prints as one captive mechanism without bearings, screws, magnets or assembly. Nominal size: 80 × 80 × 12 mm. Original CAD generated from involute equations: an 18-tooth sun, three 12-tooth planets and a 42-tooth internal ring, double-helical teeth and six shallow finger recesses.
