Three points on a round body, joined by straight tangent flanks. Unlike the soft three-lobe knob the fingers find a stop at once - the grip for things that must be done up firmly. Takes a DIN 934 hex nut M4 from the back - the thread is steel, not printed plastic, so it survives being done up hard. The bolt runs right through, so its length does not matter.
